INSPIRATION
​
Many of my watercolour sketches are executed in the Phaneromeni area in Nicosia, and depict the clientele and the environs. The works capture the atmosphere of timelessness, the microcosm of emotion and the breathless hush that sets this area of the old town apart.
​
I love working in ink and watercolour, it is one of the most difficult mediums for an artist. You can’t hide any mistakes working with layers and transparency. I believe I am an accumulation of layers, and I like this to show in my artwork – nothing is hidden.
